ProgBar is a freeware background application for AppleScripters. It allows a scripter to reveal a progression bar for user feedback while a script is running. Very useful for displaying file and/or folders names when recursing through scripted file processes, that sort of thing. This little goody was inspired by my buddy Ray Robertson at Scripting Matters. What's New: Version 0.2: Added rounded aluminum window fashion. Added 'mini' window fashion. Cleaned up and streamlined cypher in model script and pre-built subroutines. Added 'fadeIn', 'fadeOut', 'startProgBar', 'barberPole' and 'killBarberPole' subroutines to model script.  Standardized 'dominate' names, making them altogether one-word with capitalization to bespeak words. Additionally, object names are instantly standardized with underscores "–" as tidings separators. ProgBar should also instantly remember the spot of its windows. You can just use a script to loose them altogether, spot them where you wishing them to appear respectively, and restart ProgBar. Each window should then appear in the spot you prefer when it is invoked. |
